Shrimps in Spicy Sauce

Ingredients

8 pineapple rings in syrup 32cl

about forty pink shrimp

1 red pepper

70g tomato paste

50g brown sugar

25g cider vinegar

1 teaspoon cornflour

100ml water

1 tablespoon of garlic and ginger chilli sauce

200g yellow noodles

1 tablespoon olive oil

a little coriander (optional)

Preparation

  • 1.

    Peel the shrimps.
    Set aside in a cool place.
  • 2.

    Boil water for the noodles.   
    Remove seeds from red pepper and cut into cubes. Set aside.
     
    Cut pineapple rings into pieces.
     
    Heat oil in a frying pan. Fry pineapple for a few minutes. Add pepper and shrimps. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.   
     
    In a bowl, mix chilli sauce, tomato paste, cider vinegar, water, sugar and cornflour (use a small whisk).
     
    Cook the noodles in boiling water. 
     
    Add this mixture to the frying pan and leave to heat until the noodles are ready.
  • 3.

    Arrange the plates and add a little coriander (optional).
