The return of sunny days... and fruit!

At Beyer, summer begins with sunshine... but that's not all! The warm weather also brings the first fruits of the season to our doorstep.

Last week, the first deliveries of fresh fruit arrived, and with them came busy days filled with fruit!

This eagerly awaited moment each year marks the real start of the season for our entire team.

This year, it is the royal ann cherries that are leading the way. These cherries have firm flesh and a vibrant colour.

As soon as they arrive, everything proceeds with precision :

Firstly, checking the quality of the fruit, its sugar content and ripeness.
These fruits will then be washed and destemmed in order to prepare them for further processing.
They are then sorted by hand to ensure a perfect appearance.
Depending on the fruit and what we are going to do with it, they can also be pitted.
Finally, they are carefully packaged by hand in jars to guarantee the best possible quality.

Behind every carefully selected piece of fruit are expert hands, those of our teams supported by our seasonal workers, without whom none of this would be possible. Every year, they join the team with their energy and motivation, playing an essential role in ensuring the smooth arrival of the fruit.

This meticulous work, carried out by hand by our seasonal workers, preserves the authentic taste and unique texture that have made our canned fruit so famous.
